Fear shows up in a variety of ways from negativity, frustration, anger, disappointment, uncertainty, being scared, unworthiness - feelings that take you out of our happiness, or at least dim the lights on our happiness. Fear comes in all shapes and sizes from a brief thought you quickly dismiss to a looming darkness that takes more effort to move through.
We often see fear as a bad thing. However when you look at it as a tool that alerts you when something is off, fear becomes a friend rather than a foe.
For the next week, when fear visits I invite you to:
- Be gentle with yourself, fear can and will visit us all. When you see it as a tool rather than a threat, you can learn the lesson in the experience.
- Be gentle with others who are in a space of fear. We all have our own paths to walk and some choose to let fear move in rather than visit.
- Be gentle with them as they are on their own journey, you don't have to join them on it.
- Remember times in your past when you were dealing with a challenge and once on the other side you were able to see the value in that experience.
- Know that on the other side of whatever you are afraid of, today will be okay as it was in past experiences.
Mostly my wish for you is to understand that on the other side of fear is deeper love once you've walked through the challenges of life you find yourself in deeper gratitude for where you've been, where you currently are and where you are going.
Until next time, love lives here, fear just visits.
